Azal Studio is devoted to an expression of pattern and colour, inspired by founder Azal Khan's Indian and Pakistani heritage. Founded in 2018, considered design and ethical values are at the heart of the Azal Studio brand. 

A self-trained jewellery designer, Azal has a background in news journalism and currently works in PR and media while running Azal Studio.

A childhood moulded by her mother's vast collection of fabrics and sari textiles and an obsession with colourful fabrics created a deep appreciation for the artisan traditions of her parent's homelands, India and Pakistan. Her far-flung travels, stories, techniques and textiles are the canvas of her pieces. 

Azal works closely with artisans around the globe and cuts out the 'middle man' in order to encourage the self-sustainability of skilled artisans while allowing them to continue their craft which has been carried down through generations.

Pearl jewellery pieces are handmade in Sydney by Azal in Sydney's Cronulla Beach, using the ethically and sustainably sourced beads and pearls.
